A handful of Baton Rouge arts entities are teaming up in a collaborative effort to bring a documentary celebrating contemporary art and artists. The Baton Rouge Gallery, LSU Museum of Art, Glassell Gallery, Culture Candy, Louisiana Art & Science Museum and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge are all helping to host the events, which will occur in a five-night weekly series beginning Oct. 16. Excerpts from ART21's award-winning documentary series, "Art in the Twenty-First Century," will be featured at each of the five events, as a whole titled "Frame of Minds." Following the screenings, a variety of panelists have been arranged to talk about the implications and concepts discussed in the episode. "Through in-depth profiles, interviews, the 'Art in the Twenty-First Century' series rivals the inspiration, vision and techniques behind the creative works of some of today's most thought-provoking artists," according to a release. Here are details and a schedule of the five events.
