The newest LSU Museum of Art exhibition puts the focus on Baton Rouge's own talent, specifically from within LSU. The collection of works, titled "Right Here, Now," opened last week and runs through Feb. 16, 2014 and features more than 85 works from faculty-artists at the LSU College of Art. The work displays the vitality and multifaceted qualities of the two dozen artists with works in the multimedia show. "Right Here, Now" represents work in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics and digital media. "The faculty continually explores new concepts and expands the limits of art through innovative approaches," said curator Natalie Mault in a prepared statement. "The resulting works are altogether stunning and challenging, and the diversity of the show speaks to the wide-ranging talents of these individuals and their commitment to their various fields of art." The museum will host an opening reception for "Right Here, Now" on Nov. 14, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will remain open until Feb. 16, 2014.
